As I embark on the journey of life
Not knowing what it has in stock

Some say it’s filled with joy, others say strife
The many challenges I encountered came as a rude shock

I realized that I needed to shift focus
And start to learn to believe in myself

Ignoring all the street hocus-pocus
I began to feed on my bookshelf

Hoping for a better day I kept trying
To be relevant in this life being my sole aim

Sometimes filled with sorrow, I keep crying
There is success ahead, which I claim
But then I realize it’s all in my head!
